Shea Butter Pre-Poo Options

Need a boost of moisture to your hair? Want soft moisutrized tresses? Try a shea butter hair conditioning treatment to deeply moisturize your hair. 

Option 1:  Melt 1/4 cup of shea butter in a saucepan on the stove. Put on a pair of protective rubber gloves. Massage the warm shea butter into your hair, making sure that all the hairs are thoroughly covered. Wrap a towel around your head and allow the shea butter to stay in your hair for 30 minutes. Shampoo as usual.

Option 2: Add to a saucepan 1 tsp. olive oil, 1 tsp. shea butter, 1 1/2 tbsp. plain yogurt and 1 tbsp. honey.  Apply heat from the stove until the shea butter has melted. Turn off the heat and allow the ingredients to cool. Beat 1 egg in a bowl and add it to the saucepan mixture. Continue stirring the ingredients until they are well blended. Apply to damp hair and leave on for up to 30 minutes or overnight. Shampoo the mixture out.

Option 3: Heat 1 1/3 cups of shea butter in a saucepan until the shea butter melts. Mix 1/2 cup of olive oil into the shea butter. Turn off the heat and allow the ingredients to cool. Place the ingredients in a blender and add 1 tsp. of vitamin E oil and 1/2 oz. of fragrance oil. Blend until the ingredients develop a mousse-like consistency. Apply to either wet or dry hair, leave on for 30 minutes and shampoo.
