Detangling Combs

I detangle my hair with these combs.  I love, love, love them.  I’ve tried finger detangling but as my hair grows, the process is hard on my hair even with very gentle manipulation.  The shedding was more than I could bear, lol.

Most Naturalsistas swear by the finger detangling method.  This process worked for me in the beginning but caused excess pulling and shedding as I experienced growth.

I learned about the black comb from a YouTuber’s review.  She raved about her results from using it versus her fingers and said that she bought it from her local dollar tree (where everything sold inside cost a dollar ($1.00).

I figured I would give it a try.  After all, it only one dollar. I tried it and too found that it worked for me!  With the application my pre-poo treatment, the comb glides through my tresses as I detangle in the shower. I ran into the larger pink & purple combs at Walmart for $3.48.

Zoom in and you will notice two rows of staggered teeth.  This feature greatly improved my detangling process.

Bottom line:  I recommend the black comb for short or thin hair and the pink or purple one for longer/ thicker hair.

Are you a finger or comb detangler?  Please share.
